1. Simulation data
The information entered, including salary, household status, dependants, disability, Youth PIT and NHR, is processed locally in the browser. PayCalc does not send this information to a server, associate it with an identity or store simulations.
2. IRS assessment analysis
When the user selects an IRS assessment statement as a PDF or image, or pastes a screenshot, the document is read locally in the browser to extract text and generate an explanation. The PDF, image, extracted text and results are not sent to or stored by PayCalc.
To perform the reading, the page loads the PDF.js and Tesseract.js technical libraries, together with the language model required for OCR, through jsDelivr and the distribution services used by those libraries. These providers may receive technical connection data, such as IP address and browser information, but they do not receive the PDF, image or screenshot selected by the user.
3. PDF export
The report is prepared in the browser. Selecting “Export PDF” opens the device’s print function, where the user can save the document. PayCalc does not receive the report data.
4. Technical data
As with any website, the hosting provider may process technical data strictly required to deliver and secure the service, such as IP address, date and time, requested page, browser and error logs. This data does not include the figures entered in the calculator.
5. Sensitive information
The tax disability option may reveal sensitive information. It therefore remains only on the user’s device. Users should take care when saving or sharing a PDF report containing this information.
5. Features not currently used
The current version has no user accounts, contact form, newsletter, analytics, advertising pixels or simulation storage. This information must be reviewed before any of those features are introduced.
7. Security
Local processing reduces data collection. Users should nevertheless protect their device and any PDF files they choose to save or share.
